Stone Fox

                                            Stone Fox

Stone Fox is a children's novel written by John Reynolds Gardiner, illustrated by Marcia Stewell and published by Harper and Row on 1980. Stone Fox is about how Little Willy's grandfather becomes sick with Depression and Little Willy has to tack care of his grandfather and the potato farm in Wyoming. As Little Willy takes care of the farm and all goes good a tax collector comes and tells Little Willy that his grandfather owed taxes to the tax collector. Grandfather owed 500 dollars. Little Willy then joins a dog-sled race and he and his dog, Searchlight. Together they go against a legendary dog-sled racer named, Stone Fox. Stone Fox is a Native-American who has never lost a race. Will Little Willy win the race? What I like about this book is that Little Willy does anything to get his grandfather to get him on his feet. I hope you like this book as I do. Don't forget to subscribe and comment!
